Barnett National Bank

The Adaptive Reuse of the Barnet National Bank Building in Jacksonville, FL is a mixed-use development of a historic 18-story high-rise structure that was originally constructed in 1926.

The building housed multiple banking operations over the years until 2004 when it was abandoned completely. Over the years since, the building changed hands many times and went through multiple attempts at renovation.

The current redevelopment by SouthEast Group shall include retail, commercial office spaces, and (108) 1 and 2-bedroom apartment units ranging from 523 sf to 1050 sf. The renovation will be pursuing Historic Tax Credits through the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) following the NPS (National Park Service) Historic Preservation Standards and Guidelines. Additionally, the project is pursuing LEED Certification.

Robbins Design Studio is an architectural consultant for the project. Services provided include Quality Assurance and Quality Control 3rd party document review during design, LEED V4 review and Architectural Documentation, and Construction Administration services.
